I think I misunderstood... maybe it's because I associate Rob with "performance"... It's to showcase all suspensions, right? I will have to confirm with the owner, but I will just bring Old Aux. It's not a hard-core performance suspension system... but it will give some variety to the event.

correct standard equipment we do have 12", 13" and 14" plain or drilled and slotted 4 or 6 piston calipers available

If you are researching a front kit for your C10... do your homework. Find the one that is best for you and what you want to accomplish. Call the various companies that make the product and discuss all your questions and concerns. It's an investment any way you go, so make sure it is one that you are comfortable making. this opinion may also be fact with your boyish good looks but I know some old school g funk pimps so its all about who you know....

As for Robs event get me dates as long as it doesn't interfere with our show schedule we should be able to get some thing together

Nice pic!

Were you seeing if he could set you up with a "date" for the night? Or was he just looking for some air ride to help him clear is 30's?

Question to both.... For LSX equipped trucks running the stock truck oil pan, will there be any issues with the oil pan touching ground before the truck is laid out?

The factory truck pan does hang down quite a bit... I recommend switching over to an F-body oil pan and pick-up tube (camaro, firebird, trans am 1998-2002) to eliminate ground clearance issues. You can run the windage tray from the truck pan with a slight modification... but the oil pan and pick-up are a must change.

Re: Drop member V3- Scotts bolt in front-

The Corvette pan may work on the Scott's kit, but I want to clarify that it is NOT compatible with a Dropmember. It has "batwings" that stick out on each side of the pan that cause other clearance issues/concerns.

I'm curious.... I've installed more than one Dropmember so I'm slightly familiar w/that but what is it going to take to connect the end of that rack on the Scott's x-member in the pic to a column?

That angle looks pretty severe from my monitor??? 2 joints & the shaft or what?

Scott,
In my personal 65 burb I am building I have a big block in the truck and I am running a power rack. The column is a ididit column and I have 3 steering u-joints installed.
rack is a 3/4 36 /3/4 d/d
frame mid mount is a 3/4 x 3/4 d/d
Then I have a 3/4 hime to keep the d/d shaft stable.
End of the column I am running a 1 inch x 3/4 d/d u-joint.I am ruuning 3 u-joints to keep it away from the headers I am installing. It will work with
two u-joints if you wanted to run exhaust manifolds only.

Ahh.... I didn't notice it earlier. But when I looked @ the pic again, I was thinking it looked like the R&P shaft exited below the lower plain of the frame rail & would need a 3-joint set-up. What do you supply w/the kit to mount the 3/4 stabilizing heim to (hard to tell in the pics from that angle) or is that a 'per application' deal?

We can offer it with all parts needed to hook up the stock column to our rack.
We can set them up with a complete bolt on 3/4 hime and bracket that will bolt in place and we have a weld in bung as well.If the customer wants to weld it in place. We really try to listen to our customers to see what there
abilities are as most people probally know some people have more skills than others.
Today was a perfect example sold two bolt in ifs for c-10 trucks. Then one of
our old customers called us up and wanted our weld in ifs for the c-10 truck.
We have been making that version for several years now as well.Like I said
go figure we are here to service all people and shops out there.I will say myself Porter built has a nice product by all means and Jim meyers does to.
There is room for all of us out here and I will say I am very proud to say that all of our products we make and machine we do in house.I am not saying we are better by no means at all.I am saying we have a good product and a fair price for the general public out there for the people who want to buy a complete hub to hub kit with tubular a-arms.For the guys who want to run the stock gm arms Porter built is the way to go.

I have to agree with Justin that there is room for all of us. Different people want different things. Smooth ride, lay frame, killer handling, pricing, ease of installation, what is most important to you? For comparison, can you guys post some specs? Track width, roll center, ground clearance gain, drop from stock, or spindle pin height in relation to the frame rail, total suspension stroke..... I think it help people choose the best IFS kit for them. Thanks for the input.

I am currently putting together a document that includes this information to be published on my new website I am building. I will have all the information published here shortly and will post a link.

Rob... I think you are making it a little crowded over here, might want to go somewhere else. I heard the import scene could use a guy like you!
