In looking through Craiglist for some parts for my 65 I ran across this gem: $1500 bones and drove it 2 hours home. Small block chevy... mmmm better pics tomorrow, these pics from Craigslist ad.

Re: It's like crack i swear...
lol yeah it is. If I had a house and wasn't living in the barracks I'd probably have 2 or 3 parts vehicles or future projects sitting in my back yard.
...it's also a good thing I don't have a tow vehicle and car trailer too... |

Nice truck, but FYI that's not a '65. It is a '60-'63, although is does have the '64-'66 grill.

Sweet find. I'm hoping to run across more of those too. I have four daughters that give me an excuse to have more trucks... they each have to have something cool to drive when they turn 16, don't they

Amen to that........ The trucks and this website, too!
Looks like you did good on the '63, red-oxide to boot! Last edited by lakeroadster; 01-29-2011 at 11:42 AM. |

Re: It's like crack i swear...
k1, I know what you mean about not being able to build a collection of yard art - I have the same problem. Retirement looking like a good option! But hang in there. I've bought and sold many cars/trucks that I really didn't want to get rid of just to make pcs'ing less of a hassle, but always seem to find another. And I'm gonna keep the current one. No, really, I MEAN IT THIS TIME! Ha!
Great score! What are you going to do with it, that's obviously not just a parts truck, that's a nice project! |
