my 65 GMC.... I was gonna sell but then came to my senses
now, I am starting a build thread. I have a lot to do, but the next step is building a bed floor strong enough to hold a 600 lb Harley. I think wood will work, just have to build up a sub frame. Any other ideas of what the hell to do with this thing.... let me know. My list is long, but I love others input.

I think I would get a hitch for the truck and a small trailer for the harley. The structure you will need to hold it and the height to cleat the frame is going to make it real hard to load and sit real high. Hidden hitch behind the plate would work. The fold away trailers they sell would be easy to tow and store.

yep, I agree..... the hidden hitch idea works, but I could just use my Expedition for that.... but I still want to build a raised floor and now that it is more cosmetic than functional, I can weld directly to the bed walls.

Re: my 65 GMC.... I was gonna sell but then came to my senses
On my 66 I had a S10 blazer rear clip in that one and the hump over the rear end was about 6" up into the bed. I built a multi level floor in that one using stained marine plywood with groves cut in it with a router to give it some flair. Worked real good and the higher center did a great job of keeping coolers in the back of the truck.
