show your Vintage shots of 67-72s

This look was very mainstay in the 80's Oklahoma. You ran mud tires in the fall winter and L-60's in the spring summer. Light bars were common. The guy who owned this truck was a few years older than me but everyone is his family, brothers, sisters all drove 67-72's.(I think you had to drive one to get the approval of dating his sisters too seemed they all drove them LOL) Show your infamous 70's and 80's pics before the pink graphics came along in the 90's. LOL

Lol! I remember when we moved to Miami, OK (pronounced "my-yam-a" for y'all that don't know) cruisin main street around 1987-88 all the trucks looked like that! 2wd, mudders in back - usually mud flaps that said something like "This is Rodeo Country" and yep, all had a big ole roll bar! I'll have to dig thru my archives-may be able to help ya out. Ahh man, memories! I saw some of the cleanest vintage tin while we lived there....

Re: show your Vintage shots of 67-72s

Here is a picture of my Dad's truck after an accident at a gas station in 1973. The car on the right hit the bed of the truck in the side. It put the truck into the lamp post and gas pump. Both of those were pushed on top of a vega on the other side of the pump. If you look, you can see the foam from the fire dept laying around the truck. My Dad sold the truck on the spot. I bought this truck back from that owner in 2004. The town sheriff brought this photo by when he saw the truck in my driveway.

Re: show your Vintage shots of 67-72s

Those were the days. My '72 K/20 Cheyenne Super Custom Camper,'71 K/5 CST,'71 C/20 Cheyenne Custom Camper, and '84 K/30 Silverado (Banks turbo'd 6.2 w/ Gear Vendors) are in the background. I also had a '70 C/30 Custom Camper (former Winnebago) with a low-profile utility body,'71 C/10 Custom Deluxe Suburban, and '63 Riviera sittin' at my shop. Back then I thought it would always be that way.
