lwb to swb
so i've been thinking of doing the long to short chop on my 72. so for those that have done it how much did you take out of the frame and where? if i do this i wanna do it right.

so why is a 110/120vdc welder insufficient for the job? one of my friends converted his light half short step dodge into a heavy half long stepper using the back half of a heavy half frame to get the bed to fit and he used a 110/120vdc mig.

Most don't have the amperage to penetrate for sufficient strength. Weak welds in a frame would be a bad thing.
