56 and 57 grill sizes
I bought a 1957 Chevy truck that does not have a grill. I measured the opening of my 56 and they have the same size opening. The only difference I see is on each side of the opening about level with the turn signal the fenders on the 57 have a mounting hole and the metal contour is flattened out by the hole. Are there any differences besides what I mentioned? I always thought the actual opening was wider on the 57.

The upper and lower pieces are different also. You can look on or in LMC and see the differents. It's the mounting tabs.

I have a 57 grille that is in excellent shape that I would be willing to sell. It is painted and has no dents or rust. Also have the upper and lower pieces that are in excellent shape as well.
