Heater hoses
I got a 1975 C10 and I'm gutting the a/c and heater. I was wondering how i could relocate my heater hoses (the ones running from my radiator and engine into the cab). Do i actually need them if Im gutting it?

Re: Heater hoses
not if you get rid of your heat.....just take out the nipple fittings and plug them with pipe plugs

Re: Heater hoses
You'll just need a pair of 1/2 npt pipe plugs.

Re: Heater hoses
cut them off if you want, they just go to the heater core which you will be removing anyway.

Re: Heater hoses
Unless I am missing something, you should be just completely removing one hose, and the other should route from the radiator to the engine.

Re: Heater hoses
You will have to plug the hose that comes off the rad or find a cap that fits and solder it on

Re: Heater hoses
Yep, that's exactly what I was talking about. I do this every summer with my vehicles that don't have a heater control valve. Run that hose to the engine, and get rid of the other one along with all the other heat and a/c stuff.
