WOW!! i just saw the coolest truck

I was taking my daughter to school, and coming past me in the other lane was a 69-70 GMC longbed truck, It looked like it was completely restored. It was copper color, had a power tailgate, and the guy was delivering a washer or dryer or something. It was very cool!!

I did get the plate, no pics, couldn't get camera out fast enough, gonna try to find out who ownes it. Man it was beautiful. It was really cool to see this out on a sunny day.

Re: WOW!! i just saw the coolest truck

Nice...I saw a 68 chevy lwb today while taking my dog for a run around the neigbhorhood. It was all white with black letters on tailgate. Looks to be all original. He alwasy has barrels in the bed atleast he uses it as a truck. ITs nice to see there are people out there using these old trucks to there full potential.

pulled a bobcat with mine the other day. It's a lowered swb but it's still a truck!

Re: WOW!! i just saw the coolest truck

Saw two Monday and two today.

Monday:
1971 K20 Burb, 6" lift 37" swampers down in WV
1968 C10 lwb w/ cap on my way home from college

Today:
1970 C10 lwb right outside Jefferson
1971 C10 as I came into Shepherdstown on my way to class.

So, there's a few around, which is good!

I don't know where he lives, but I see him on Pleasant St, and the Cooks Corner area pretty regularly.

We must be neighbors! Have you ever done the Topsham Cruise? Lisbon Falls? Fat Boy's sock hop?

We need to find him. I'm in Woolwich, never done the cruise, I have heard about it though. Just never had a completed vehicle. Mmmmm fat boys! Now I'm hungry.

Re: WOW!! i just saw the coolest truck

I found this today on the way to the landfill. 69-70 GMC extended cab. Looks like a 1 ton.

Says Custom on the driver's door. Looked like original cab lights. Utility bed is not my favorite, but I'm sure that could be changed.
I have bigger pics on my flickr page. http://www.flickr.com/photos/boundstaffpress

Re: WOW!! i just saw the coolest truck

That 1-ton is pretty cool. All you US boys are lucky. There's so many trucks down your way compared to up here.

I saw lots of C10s and older chevy's while I was down in Seattle yesterday. Too bad it was pouring rain and I had the top off though I could've enjoy the 'sights' better lol

That's an odd one...single wheels on a 157"er. Someone either stretched the frame or swapped to single wheel. But they never made 11' utility beds for SRW (since no such thing was made). Like I said, that's an oddball.
