5 on 4 3/4 bolt pattern

Ive done a little searching and havent found anything. Im converting my 70 to front disc from a mid 70s parts truck. Does anybody make a rotor with the more popular GM 5 on 4 3/4 bolt pattern? I found numerous adapters but am reluctant to use them.

or you could do like my PO and put disc brakes off of a mid seventies monte carlo..!!

I thought the whole time i had 5x5 bolt pattern, until I trashed a wheel bearing and spindle, then went to fix the truck.

They used a monte carlo spindle, rotor, and caliper. They just reemed out the holes for the spindle.

Works good, I havn't changed it YET.

Hmmmm. Dont like the idea of having light duty car rotors on a heavy truck or keeping track of different seals and bearings. Adapters are sounding pretty good now

What are you trying to accomplish other than running a 4 3/4 bolt pattern?

I thought I read somewhere that POL performance online.com sell 1.25in rotors in 5.4 3/4lug pattern.

for about $40 you can have rotors redrilled...

Thats pretty much it. I dont like the stock wheels and Im not much into the big 18s & such. Ive narrowed my wheel choice down to 3 styles and they only go up to the 4 3/4" pattern

What about the rear? It doesn't seem worth it to me. But,pretty much the wheels I like are all available for the GM truck pattern,since they are so popular.

Yeah Ill run into the same issue with the rear. Trying to take it one step at a time. Really all this boils down to is the wheel choice. Like I stated above, what Ive got my eye on only goes up to 4 3/4

I worked for an import garage awhile back and we sold more wheel adpators and spacers than anything else. Never had a failure and the way those kids would beat those cars I would say I should have no worries about running them. But I thought maybe there was a simple solution, i.e., buying a rotor with the bolt pattern I want.

I was putting out this info.
But closer inspection, revealed they were 11" Chevelle rotors that use a custom caliper bracket, Camaro calipers, and your original "Drum Brake" spindles.
To me,... it's not worth changing the front and rear, just to get a certain wheel.

You can buy just the rotor, but they won't do you much good without the stock drum brake spindle and the custom caliper brackets.
(This leaves out any option for drop spindles)

I jumped the gun myself. Guess Ill run adaptors

The point of the change was to get disc brakes, not wheels. But now Im on the wheel subject soooo....

The rear will be changed at some point as this was a 6cyl truck and it has some ungodly high ratio. Again, not changing for wheels.
