Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
Gonna leave them black. or i was thinking red. or lime green
but i think it looks real good black on black. tires look good. there smaller up front and bigger out back. i want to drop the front end down more. but fear that with a coil spring drop ill have to screw with the camber.. |

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
they arnt vortecs they are 87 heads they need special intake that has different center bolts. the four center bolts out of the eight have elongated holes.
just gonna keep running the six till it dies. although the 350 motor is built besides for the intake.still have to buy it... and the cast on that block does not allow you to run a mechanical fuel pump....... electric units are $$$ working on getting brand new rims and tires for this summer. trucks been in storage all winter i got a 85 chev 4x4 beater with a heater that has been takin all the salt. been working alot. and saving up money. trying to find a new seat for the c10 tooo. Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
yeah well the valve train is good on it. i got it mostly together i just need a intake. Also needs a Electric fuel pump because after 87 mechanical pump wasn't in the cast.
The heads are truck heads and have 90 degree center intake bolts to make it easier to install for fuel injection, on the assembly line. We got some snow today had to get the truck moved out of the garage its been in for most of this winter. Got new tires on her. heres a few up to date pics. nice place to park it this winter. takin off the front rims to change the tires had to buy new rear rims snow storm night after i get it home... fresh set of tires. 205/75/15 all the way around blue truck aka winter beater.. putting the truck to work this summer in its prime.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
need to upgrade to disc. kits run 550 on up. can you run disc with the rims im running?
thinking about going to the junk yard and finding some 1971 front spindles, disc's, calipers, booster and p valve. and buy drop spindles for them. but can i run my rims? it be half what a new kit cost's and i can get the disc's machined for free. as long as the calipers looked decent. what else will i need? Has anyone come along and made spindles for drums?

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
I think id use the 73-87 frontend parts cheaper and easier to get.
I used the 71 stuff. Are u gonna run 6 lug rotors or GM 5 lug (6 lug rotors are aftermarket)
