Re: am i asking too much?

That seems very reasonable to me for a truck you can drive home.

Re: am i asking too much?

only issue i see is the title work. in Texas, a owner can easily get a replacement title to a vehicle.

Re: am i asking too much?

I wish you were closer!!!

As long as you have a release of interest from you brother and can accompany the buyer to the dmv to get the title changed then your add should state that..

Otherwide drive it up here to washington and i'll buy it

Re: am i asking too much?

Not a bad deal at all. The problem is that there are a LOT of trucks just like that similarly priced right now.

Apparently in CA, if you don't pay the registration fees every year, they add up and have to be paid when the title is transferred or the registration is finally renewed.

I may be wrong since I'm in TX and haven't lived in CA for a long time.

I had to search and find out what/where "yuba sutter sac" was. It's not what I thought at first

yuo they keep adding until someone pays it either the owner to finally get it legal or the new owner to get it legal. in ca we also have a non-op (non operational) which is like 10-15 dlrs and that stops all fees until u want to re reg it.

Re: am i asking too much?

Sounds like a decent deal. Are you just off of hwy 20 up by smartsville? The reason I ask is there was a truck that looked like that for sale for the same price awhile back, but it had different wheels on it. As far as the back fees, mine had 10 years worth and dmv said it was gonna be around $1200 to reg. it, then they told me I could sign a waiver that the truck had not been operated or towed on public roads and they knocked off all the penalties which got it down to $480. I read on here a while back that there is a clause in Ca for classic vehicles that can get you out of all the back fees, I'll try to find the post.

Edit: I just remembered the truck I was talking about was a 3/4 ton....so I guess it wasn't yours

Re: am i asking too much?

Art, This truck is caught in the middle. Its a little bit too expensive to be worth while parting out and a couple of issues from being a legal driver. If you get the DMV stuff straightened out, you will have a better chance of selling it.
Just my $.02 worth.

Re: am i asking too much?

Here is the info on how to beat back fees, I wish I found it before I paid almost $500 to DMV. Read posts #7 and #8. Hope this helps you out, if you can get the title in order the truck would be much more desirable.

Re: am i asking too much?

Hey folks...this isn't a for sale or trade thread, the original post is asking basically if his asking price is out of order....let's stay on topic....

If the OP wants to sell or trade, I ask that he please list it in the Trucks for sale area....Thanks so much
