Finally found a 72 2wd CST Blazer
I finally found a 1972 CST 2wd Blazer with factory air. I have always wanted this body style blazer and finally found one at the right price. I am heading out saturday morning for a 5 hour one-way trip to pick it up. I will get some pics up when I get it loaded and headed home. This one will be started on as soon as I finish my sons 77 2wd Blazer (maybe sooner).

Better yet, do build threads for both your son's and your Blazers. Twice as cool!

Re: Finally found a 72 2wd CST Blazer
Well that's my old Blazer. Glad to see it go to someone who will bring it back to life. Here is a little history on your new Blazer. A friend of mine purchased it as a parts Blazer. I bought in the hope of restoring it. I bought it back in 95-96 some time and sold it to crr26@cox.net a year or two ago.
Here are before and after pictures. The front clip came off a 72 parts truck I had. If you would like anymore information on it. Let me know. I actually drove it around the block not long after I put it back together. Last edited by Big Block; 03-08-2011 at 10:41 PM. |

Nicely optioned truck there, AC, tach, AM/FM radio. Looks like it had a rough start but has been getting better over the years of sitting. Looking forward to hearing more and watching the LS swap.

Re: Finally found a 72 2wd CST Blazer
Will do, I need the hardware to hold the top to the windshield frame. The blazer only came with one side.
I also started a build thread for this blazer.

Re: Finally found a 72 2wd CST Blazer
Was going to send it to Frizzle Fry to do the metal work to make it a 115" wheelbase 3 door tahoe. But right now it is on hold since I bought this blazer to work on. I have been tempted to part it out or just put it up for sale.

Re: Finally found a 72 2wd CST Blazer
Sounds good! I had to ask, I have a green 72 suburban but I always wanted a red or blue one. My wife would kill me if I bought anything else anyways. Good luck with the blazer build. I hope it doesn't need as much metal work as mine!
