1970 C20 custom camper with 4 wheel drums

Last week the line going to the rear brakes went out so I replaced it. I've tried bleeding the rear brakes, but the pedal still isn't firm. I had run the MC dry at one point, does that mean I need to bleed the MC before I can bleed the line, or will it just take longer? Do I need to bleed the fronts, or are they independent?

it will take awhile to bleed them completely

if i were in a situation where a brake line rusted out or burst i'd replace all lines that have the same age to them

The master cylinder should always be 'bench-bled' before trying to bleed the brake lines on the vehicle.

I install the master on the vehicle & route the provided flex hoses back into the reserviors. Fill the master w/fluid & cycle the pedal until there are no air/bubbles. Remove the flex lines & install the hard lines. Start bleeding the vehicle using the farthest bleeder valve as the 1st & working closer to the master from each corner.

I guess I'll pull off the MC to prop valve line and try to bleed the MC from there.
