Blue Hair
Finally got it home. It's the one I have been looking for, for a while to add to my collection. A really clean '66 with all the original stuff. Enjoy!!

Re: Blue Hair
sweet truck - it's in great condition. I agree with 62shortstep, I wouldn't touch the paint. And you haven't posted your detailed plans yet?? C'mon, what do ya have a day job or something!!! Get with it man!!!! (As you can tell, we're a nosey bunch, living vicariously through our e-truckers when our own projects are stuck in storage from a move for 3 months, 1 week, and 2 days... Oh wait, that's just me ) Ha. I think you scored big time!
Did those wheels come with it? They look pretty new. Will they stay on it in your plans? Guess it all depends on which direction you decide to take this cool little truck. And that reminds me - you still haven't posted any plans while I was typing up this incredibly inciteful reply... posting your plans on here should take priority over actually getting any work done towards them ya know! Re: Blue Hair
Perfect, wouldn't change a thing except maybe some black heater hoses!
I am sooooooo jealous... please don't change the patina, it's to die for. Last edited by lakeroadster; 03-17-2011 at 10:16 AM. |

Re: Blue Hair
Thanks for the response guys I appreciate it. Well its a '66 Chev with the original 6 cyl three on the tree.
The truck was originally bought in Louisiana and eventually made its way out west to Logusta, California. The owner changed over the running gear to '72 Gm with 5 hole and put those wheels on it. I am going to clean it up and put new hoses in the engine bay. I am KEEPING the Patina paint as that is what caught my eye when I first saw it. It was love and first sight and I had to have it!!!! It's going to be my rainy day truck as I call it for the Summer. My Plans are... Already in progress. I'm lowering it 4/6 with springs and coils for the summer. Ohh and also putting on a set of Coddington wheels that I just so happened to stumble over. |

Re: Blue Hair
I should've figured Del wouldn't be far behind on this one. Seems he's got an automatic link into every worthwhile truck that surfaces lately... but deservedly so, as his tan '65 blew some doors.
I'll be watching. Last edited by oem4me; 03-20-2011 at 12:38 AM. |

Re: Blue Hair
Neat truck but I think you ruined it with the wheel change.
