air transfer and handling

Looking for some opinions on air ride setup. I now have everything to bag my 72 L.B. except bags and an air management system. I had a Toyota in the mid nineties with 1/4" air line and front bags were tee'd together to one paddle valve and the rear was the same. The truck handled and drove great(as far as I can remember). My concern is doing it on my 72 which is much heavier. I have 2" CPP modular drop spindles, S.Doors front bag mounts, CPP C-notch, just replacing springs with bags. Thanks.

Re: air transfer and handling

Sounds like you have all the right parts.
Run an air line to each bag individually.
Do it right the first time.

Will do thanks. Was just reading another thread, are shock relocators required? I was told no by S.D. and CPP. Going as low as possible without cutting on bed.

Re: air transfer and handling

Yes,... in the rear of the truck
A static dropped truck with a 5" or 6" drop spring needs them in the back.
A bagged truck will go lower than that.

If you are talking about the front,... that's different.
Stock shocks will need relocators.
Drop shocks up front won't.

Re: air transfer and handling

So if I am running stock shocks on front and rear I will need relocators for front and rear? The shocks on my truck are only a few months old. And where is the best place to get them. Also will the shock be the stop on how high it will raise. Which is the best way to go, drop shocks or relocators?

Re: air transfer and handling

You need shorter shocks with the rear shock locators.
Drop shocks are the best up front.
Stock front shocks will work if you use a relocator.
Look at www.earlyclassic.com.
If your truck was mine,... I would replace the front and rear with ECE shocks. (KYB's)
