Steering column/200r4

Hey gang, I pulled the trigger on a 200r4 to replace the powerglide on the 66 long bed stepside. I'm unsure about the number of steering column detents. How many do I really need? P R N 3 2 1 or is there an alternative? What steering columns could I use that have the correct number of detents? Thanks guys!
