First Time On The Board
This is my first post. This is a 1972 Blazer that I purchased for my wife about a year ago in the Dalles, Or. It had been sitting for quite a few years. The previous owner had hit a deer with it and then parked it. I have repaired the front end damage to the grille. This Blazer came with a double wall black top that was in pretty rough shape. I was lucky enough to stumble upon the single wall top that is on it now last fall for $100. I am in the process of doing body work now. I will post some pictures of what it looked like when I bought it and where it is now.

Re: First Time On The Board
I sold it right after I bought the single wall top. I know how hard they are to find. I've already had offers on the top on my parts Blazer.

Nice! The sliding windows you have in your top are pretty rare.

Re: First Time On The Board
I have also heard they are rare. I'm going to change the top to black and put solid windows in. I haven't decided if I will sell the sliders or not. I may just end up putting them in the top on my parts blazer and use the solid windows from it unless I can find some other solid windows.

Re: First Time On The Board
Nice looking blazer. You let me know if you want to sell those sliders. I have an orange blazer that needs some. LOL!

Re: First Time On The Board
you might just want to leave the side windows alone cause i think the rubbers are just as rare

Re: First Time On The Board
I've been trying to add more pictures to get you all caught up with the status of the blazer today but it wont let me. Having some problems! Yet it is letting me add pictures to a new thread about the Portland swap meet. I have sent a message to try and find out why. Hopefully I get it figured out before this Blazer is a different color!

Re: First Time On The Board
Nice Blazer. Never have seen the sliders before. Are they unique to first generation Blazers ?

Re: First Time On The Board
I have been told they are pretty rare a couple of times. Although I do not know the history on them. I am leaning towards taking them out in favor of solid windows.

Re: First Time On The Board
I was told they were an after market/dealer installed item.

Re: First Time On The Board
I wonder if they swap with later year Blazer top windows. Seems like a similar shape to the later Blazer windows.

Re: First Time On The Board
Thanks for the info on the slider windows. I think the 73 and later blazer top side windows are a little more square than ours are.

Re: First Time On The Board
Ok, I think I finally have this picture resizing thing figured out. Here are some pictures of the Blazer once we got it home and started to see a little more of what we had to work with. The body was not as bad as we thought it was. Obviously the front needed a lot of work.
