Pulling My 292

Time has come.
Rear main seal problem so I decided to pull the engine.
First time for me, any advise. I have the manual and it saids to remove the transmission first? I have a 4 speed SM420.
I was thinking of separating the trans and pulling the engine with the bellhousing.

Re: Pulling My 292

When I pull the tranny out of the 67 I just pop the hump out of the floor, pull the driveshaft and speedo cable, top 2 bell bolts then crawl underneath pull the bottom 2 bell bolts, then jump back inside and firmly grab the tranny by the stick and pull it back then ease it to the ground.

Last time I did this I timed myself and it took less than 10 minutes to get the tranny on the ground after I had the hump out of the way.( I've done it a few times)
