1972 BBC vs SBC Mounts
I have a big block engine and am pretty sure this is a big block mount...my question is...what year are my frame towers? What's the difference between 71 and 72 BBC towers? For that matter, what's different about SBC towers? Pictures would be endlessly useful...
What I have... Last edited by dos0711; 03-03-2011 at 06:04 PM. |

Re: 1972 BBC vs SBC Mounts
I asked the same thing a while back. This thread has photos of 72 only BBC towers.

Re: 1972 BBC vs SBC Mounts
So from the looks of the 72 picture I assume mine are 67-71 BBC mounts?

Re: 1972 BBC vs SBC Mounts
Would a moderator sticky this thread and rename it 1967-1972 Motor Mounts?

Re: 1972 BBC vs SBC Mounts
can you use your small block mounts for a big block? I read somewhere on here that a member just stayed with there sbc mounts instead of swapping them out.

Re: 1972 BBC vs SBC Mounts
Quick question...do the 1972 BBC towers use the 73-87 style mounts?

Re: 1972 BBC vs SBC Mounts
Well, after much wrangling, Apparently I don't have the right clam shells...frustrated, I've ordered the tubular kit with everything to just drop the damn thing in. I'll have some 67-71 and 72 towers for sale soon...LOL
