67-72 cab swap
just curious if anyone on here has tried to put a 67-72 front clip and cab on an 88-98 chev/gmc or if anyone has any info on going about this project or if its possible. any info or anything would be appreciated

This was done on a 2000 chevy but would be the same amount of work on a 88-98,

Conceptually it sounds cool but, im not too thrilled with the outcome. just doesnt look right to me but to each his own.

that's like taking a pinto front end and putting it on a 1969 Camaro things that might sound cool But in the end they come to me and they get scraped.All them 1980's Mini trucks I use to see them all the time all decked out Now NONE and the ones that survived wont Pass the EPA standered's

I saw one that someone had even kept the modern dash and interior, and they fabbed it all up so it fit the 67-72 cab really nicely. I think it was on this site, but I can't remember how long ago. That happens when you get to be my age.

The best way to figure it out would be to put both rolling chassis side by side. No doubt it can be done if you want to do enough fabricating and enough trimming. It's how much trimming and or fabricating that are involved that is at issue.
It probably isn't any harder in the long run than putting one of the AD truck cab, nose and beds on an S-10 chassis. Last edited by mr48chev; 04-06-2011 at 12:11 AM. |
