btw, dont trust those tire calculators fully, they are great for estimating what the tire size will be, but each tire is different. By those tire calculators my tires are 32. Get them inflated, and on my shop floor, they are 32.75 off the ground. Taylor

Re: Survey- For those of you laying frame, how tall are your front tires
I'm planning on a 28" tire right now, but if you made them taller I'd consider going 22's all around.

well i am about 99% sure now that i am going to go ahead and stretch them...as long as i can keep them looking right !! i did test fit them on a stock cab last night and did a little clearancing so no firewall modifications will be necessary !

I'm running the same tire setup as old aux. The front tires are 255/40/20. I'm running all the porterbuilt dropmember stuff and the bolt-on body drop. I voted over as I assume the body drop is going to require it. Hope this helps... Looking forward to seeing these... I need a set. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Survey- For those of you laying frame, how tall are your front tires
HOTTRUCKS.. i really think the low one would cover your wheels and tires, the low ones set about 1/2 inch under the very top of the fender , if you open you hood and set a 2x4 or straight edge from one fender to the other ,above the tires (when you are layed out) would your tires touch the 2x4 ?? here is a pic of what i am talking about

On this site if you look at the Old Aux build thread you'll be able to get the general idea. Basically, its a complete set of new body mounts for the frame as well as modified/lowered sections for your framerails front and rear. Once mine arrives I will upload pictures and progress. |
