Yet another drop question

Im going to be overhauling in a few weeks and need some advise...

Trucks on 275/60/15's stock, im gonna be doing a 4/6 drop, think front will rub? How low before they do?

what i got coming: napa steering parts (tie rods and what not); poly control arm bushings, spindles, rotors, brake lines (ss braided) fresh fluid haha....

i smell a build thread!

Re: Yet another drop question

It depends on how you drop the front. If you go with a 3" spindle and 1" spring you might be ok. That is a tall tire so you might comsider something a bit lower profile.

Re: Yet another drop question

I pretty sure 4" you will have problems with 275-60s I have 3" spindles and new stock springs with 255-60s on gm rallys. It tooke some grinding on the lower control arm that I really did not like doing. I think a 4" drop becomes a little impractical as the suspension becomes a little too low.

Tell us which wheels do you have and people will be able to answer your questions a little better.

The spindles are 3in JDM drop..... I plan on cutting for my extra in to achieve 4in or more or less...... what do you mean you had to grind the arm? what was it contacting on?

the wheels are old school 70's flower mags. the backspacing im unsure of....
tape measure says ill have about 5/8 of a gap between tire to fender after drop. But im concerned of turns with bumps, i may end up cutting the fender up, I dont know yet....... think ill HAVE to?
