picked up over the weekend

1969 C10, I already gave Stan at ECE a call and ordered a 4/6 drop and front disc conversion with new axles for the rear to go 5 on 5 and I also ordered a set of Eagle 225 in 20x8.5 and 20x10.

Re: Picked this up over the weekend

LOL! Thanks, it's a pretty solid truck with a few minor mechanical issues I'm working on now. It sat for a while and the carb needs to be gone through so I'm doing that. I also put a new fuel pump, fuel line from the pump to the carb and a new fuel filter.

Re: Picked this up over the weekend

I'm kinda sick right now. I guess with all the rain we've had lately and the winds, the unthinkable happened. A cedar tree fell across the right fender and hood, looks like both will have to be replaced.

Re: Picked this up over the weekend

Man I hate too see that, that was a slick looking truck! Could have been worse though, atleast it's fixable and it wasn't a bigger tree!

Re: Picked this up over the weekend

That's true Rob it could have been worse. If the truck would have been up a few more feet the tree would have fell right across the roof or windshield. Now I need to figure out if I want to go back with a stock hood or a cowl hood. Any opinions?

Re: Picked this up over the weekend

I'm leaning toward the stock hood also, but I've always liked the looks of a cowl hood. I can't wait to see it with the drop and wheels myself, I'm pretty excited.....and broke, lol!

I say stock hood, I have yet to see an aftermarket hood that fits well without a bunch of work to it. Just my .02

I don't have an extra hood so I'll have to get a replacement.

Re: Picked this up over the weekend

Stock hood for sure... sorry to see the damage caused by the storm.

I was about to post that you will have one of the best suspension setups available IMO. If you have questions on the install click on Project Blank Slate in my signature below for the complete install of a 4.5/6" drop kit with 6-lug disc brake upgrade.

Time for a build thread.

Re: Picked this up over the weekend

Thanks Nate, your truck has been my inspiration to start this project. I decided to change it over to 5 lug simply due to wheel choices, I just couldn't swing a set of billets along with everything else right now.
