Help to ID rear axle

My son bought a 52 AD a few months ago, we finally got it into the shop and took apart a few things. This rear axle was already in the truck setting on the leaf springs, with only the U-bolts and shocks holding it in place. I'm trying to find out which axle we have?
1st pic is showing center carrier with a small plate attached to carrier.
2nd pic is showing cover shape.
It appears at one time to have had brackets for coil springs, or arms, but not sure. They had been torched off. It did not have leaf spring pads for sure.
Rear axle is 60" wide, and on the passenger side tube the number FC 6K-204 is stamped. Any help is appreciated.

55dude is correct.

I have that same rear end, except mine has a mounting location for a pan hard bar, and it's a posie (which that one may be, I just don't see a tag).

I beg to differ. It looks a like a 7.5 rearend GM started using them in 1982. Its not a 1970 to 1981 10 bolt that is known as a big 10 it has a 8.5 ring gear and bigger axle tubes and before 1970 GM used a 8.2 ring gear in its 10 bolts. If you are running a low hp engine you should be okay. Most of them are posi.

Oh, well.... I just learned something about mine then. Mine is a 7.5, so it must not have been in a 2nd Gen Camaro, like I was told.

doh! must have been distracted when i was typing because you can clearly see in the speedway ad it's for the 7.5" rear from 82' up! worth about .07 cents a lb. these days, basically a s-10 rearend.

Thanks guys for the information. I knew this was a "CORP" 7.5 or 7.625 rear because of the two small notches at bottom of case. I have been checking ID stuff on Olds, Pontiac, Buick, Chevy, etc. and can not find anything with the FC 6K 204 code, I'm just stumped with this FC code. If I ever find anything I will post it up.

fc is a 7.5" ring gear with a 2.73 ratio, If its PC then its 3.08

Over on the team nova site they mention FC being 7.5, 2.73. The S10 site mentions a 7.5 with a 59-60 inch width on a 4x4. And as Kabwe says it started in 82 and I think ran til early 90's

So I think you have a 82-9x S10 4x4 rear with 2.73 gears or if the stamp is PC then 3.08's. If you pull the cover and look at the part number on the ring it will help narrow it down. The MFG date on this picture is 11 63 2 , Nov 1963 2nd shift. Ratio 12 37, 37/12=3.08xxxxx
