Yeah it's ugly now.........
BUT tomorrow I start tearin' it apart. The next time it is in one piece it will be a thing of beauty. Wish me luck, and thanks in advance for answering the huge amount of questions I will be asking during this project.

Looks like a pretty good starting point... you're lucky to have the time & place (and everything else!) to tackle a frame-off!

That truck looks pretty straight and solid....great place to start a frame-off from . What are your plans for it?

I can relate....But as others have said it looks good now. To be really ugly you must add a few more colors to the mix.

That's a nice looking project truck. What part of town are you in? I live near Nellis AFB.

Thanks for all the encouragement everyone.
yellow72custom -I plan on a 3-1/2"- 5" or 4"-6" drop, 383/700r4, wood bed floor, Late model seat. (The short list) krue -I really don't know what color yet (maybe dark blue) jhwkns -Thanks. I'm in Green Valley. Well I didn't get a lot done to the truck Sunday. After picking up the new compressor and sand blaster, then wiring up the 220 all I did was pull the diff cover. It has posi but 4.11 gears, I was hoping for 3.73 or at least a 3 series carrier. Hopefully I'll have time before this weekend to get the bed and front end off. |

I agree with SweetandLong68...all our trucks are good lookin...it's just that some are more good lookin than others. There is no such thing as an ugly 67-72 Chevy/GMC Truck. Chevy4Life....have fun, pace yourself, and you can't take your $$$ with you so spend it on your truck.

Re: Yeah it's ugly now.........
I would assume that since we have not heard anything about this truck in 5 years it is propably sold, sitting unfinished in a back yard, or finished along time ago. It could also be a combination of 2 out of 3

Re: Yeah it's ugly now.........
WOW... 5 years later. It's been drivable (NOT finished)for about 2 years, but it mostly just sits in the driveway. I went to a local car show in late Sept. and it really got me mad that my truck STILL wasn't ready. SO, I just gutted the cab, ordered up sound deadener and carpet. I'm picking up $600 in mostly interior parts from BROTHERS TRUCKS when I head out to Cali next week. After that it's just minor body work, paint and wheels. I'll try to find some more recent pics.
