Re: Project C10
Ok so I finally settled on a decent combination for my governor and thought I should share. I am using the Green spring w/the #1 weight and the Yellow spring w/ the #2 weight, this got my shift points to apx 5,600 for the 1-2 and 2-3.
I am going to doing some further fine tuning to see if I can raise the points just a bit more, but Im pretty happy overall.

Re: Project C10
Alright I havent wrenched on the truck in awhile, I was working on a few side projects, house chores and various other things. I finally got sick of my tired Red Top battery yesterday when I went to move the truck and got the dreaded click-click-click from the starter solenoid... so I went the local GM dealer and purchased a new 5 year warranty GM battery, much better now. Then I let the truck run to charge the new battery a bit and let my air compressor refill the tank. Well after a minute or two it was apparent that not much air pressure was being generated. My little Viair 100C started to clatter like a diesel and then locked up... so I ordered a Viair 380C today from way2lo2, awesome guy. I cant wait to get the new compressor, I also picked up a 200psi pressure switch to take advantage of the 380's capabilities.

Re: Project C10
Started the install last of the compressor lastnight, I will get some pics tonight, I ended up relocating the compressor/air tank to the drivers side framerail (tank under the cab, compressor under the bed. Im hoping it wont be too loud right behind the cab, we'll see I guess...

Re: Project C10
Ok I removed my old 100C and went to replace it with the 380C and figured out it wasnt going were the old one went....
So I had to relocate my compressor and tank (and all related components) to the drivers side frame rail. I mounted the compressor at the front of the bed and the tank under the cab, the noise doesnt seem too bad and hardly any vibration transfers to the cab. I am pretty pleased with the set up so far, I did change to the 200psi pressure switch, but I need to get a larger air tank now. I also did the remote air filter this time since the compressor is right in front of the rear tire, I routed the filter all the way to the rear of the truck for now. Here are some pics.

Re: Project C10
Update time:
The new 380C has been doing great, I am really enjoying having 200psi available, great realibility and the speed of this compressor. I just ordered my AirLift paddle valve switches, two dual needle gauges, one single needle gauge and four 1/4" tee fittings for the next phase of the air ride build. I plan on making a panel for all of this and mounting to my lower console for now. Pics to follow when I do the install. Next up will be a larger air tank (I only have a 1 gal right now) and then I am going to change most of the front suspension. I am hoping to modify my lower control arms to 0" drop (they are currently 3" drop DJM's) and go to drop spindles with upgraded brakes... then I might c-notch the rear, do a 1" block and get a new trailing arm crossmember over the winter.

Re: Project C10
Well I have an update, but its not about my truck, its to announce the purchase of my new toy... sold my Neon off and bought an 03' Avalanche 1500 Z71. It already has a few mods, but needs some attention.

Re: Project C10
new to forum. stumbled upon this thread. was wondering what happened to the pics?! its just about exactly what i have been thinking about doing to my 67, just want to see the pics! i've had an lt1 from my brothers 93z that got totaled but i ended up with the engine and 6 speed and the rear end. was always gonna put them in my 87 irocz, but i never had the ambition to start that project. i just got my 67 about two months ago and im already planning it all out. further than the iroc made it! :-( ANYWAY, i was just hoping someone could figure out the pic situation!!!

Re: Project C10
OP probably quit using (paying for) a hosting site where his photos were kept. When that happens, the hosting site stops hosting.
