Heat riser bypass
I am getting ready to do my exhaust. It will be all new, custom bent. I have rams horns and was wondering the easiest way to bypass the heat riser. I see the bypasses but have the truck at work right now and would like to get the exhaust done tonight, i.e. I dont want to wait for parts. I dont have a stock one either to fill the holes in and run.
What I was thinking of doing is flange the end of the pipe, like on a header collector and just running the heat riser gasket. |

Re: Heat riser bypass
That's what I did when the truck got new exhaust. Works fine.

Re: Heat riser bypass
Just got new ram horns and exhaust run on mine. They just attached the pipes straight to the manifolds, no heat risers. The guy did an excellent job as well.
