Crankshaft!!! Please help

I bought new chrome pulleys for the crankshaft and water pump! However the waterpump pulley seems to be an 1/8 of an inch deeper then the old one so the grooves arent lining up perfectly. I was wondering if it would be a bad idea to put washers between the crankshaft pulley and the harmonic balancer so it would line it up with the water pump pulley, and if that is a bad idea, does anyone have any ideas on how to make them line up the right way!?!?!?

Re: Crankshaft!!! Please help

I went to a hardware store and got a large washer, drilled four holes in it and made a homemade spacer. It is a lot better than a stack of washers behind the pulley IMHO, and is a quick/easy fix.

x2

but if you look at the water pump.. the mount for the pulley is pressed on the shaft.. you can move it if needed..
