Help me ID these grille brackets I have (possibly 73-74)

I have three sets of these brackets. They're the center bracket and pair of outer brackets per set.

Judging by the 73-74 grille swap FAQ, they look like the early ones.

Can anyone confirm this ? I don't want to sell them and misrepresent what they are.

The latches are 73-74 specific too ?

Tell me I'm not going to have to go back to the junkyard for them also.

I don't know if they are or not to be honest, but having them to go along with everything else would be a plus IMO.

Maybe someone here can chime in if they know or not.

What year did they go to internal latch, 75 or 76? I know they changed them then. I think all external latches are the same. I sure wish you were closer to me. I have a full set that needs blasted and coated for my conversion.

Yes those are the 73-74 brackets. The latch on my 78 was external and identical to the one that came with the 73-74 brackets I bought. Although my truck being a base model one ton may have had something to do with it, I think I have seen 78s with the internal latch as well.

the handle for 73-74 latches are centered, while the 75-76 latch handles are offset to one side, and i believe the 77-80 latch handles were in the center again. Internal latches were optional until 81 when they became standard.

I appreciate everyone's input on this. I wanted to get the straight facts before I offered them for sale to anyone.
