neat project. ugly air set up with clamps covered in electrical tape but the worse part of all was no tacos or cervezas as promised.

Re: The cerveza & taco build (70 Burban)

hey thanks 4 the thumbs up ... but yeah ,lacking the tacos and beer ...

lets start off with the mickey mouse work that has been done, Well by ... mickey mouse , mini and goofy ..

1. Knocking motor
2. front seal complete gone on trans , dropping about 1 quart when it was parked
3 steering so loose it was fun to drive ...

Now we get to the band aids

compressor for the ghetto bags just tossed in the truck with tape wraped up to protect hot ends! ( on post 3#)

steering wheel bolts stripped.. i think i can save the column (3#)

tearing down the motor i figured these guys made no effort in doing anything right..
hoses shoved into other hoses, then taped , then clamped. (post 4#)

SMC air valves zip tied like mad ... to shift linkage !! and on anything else they could zip tie it to...

Just to name a few but ... wow!! no cotter pins !!! (post 6#)

Re: The cerveza & taco build (70 Burban)

When I did all my engine R&R's,I had the engine as level as possible with the motor mounts.Leave about a quarter inch of space b/n the mounts so you can move the motor around a bit. Then hand thread in both mount bolts from the bottom. Then once you have them started and not cross threaded, run them in a bit more, then set the motor down and snug em up.If it was easy everybody would do it,but thats how I get it done.I'm enjoying some Tacos and Cerveza right now mmmm
