1972 suburban project ole blue

finally starting to get things going on this and now Ive got a big improvement coming into the engine bay. right now it needs tons of body work (go figure) but I got it when i was ten and now Im 20. got it with no motor put a 350 in it.But that is soon to be replaced with THE ALMIGHTY 454!!! been working on it with my dad forever and even had it as a daily till i almost rear ended a minivan because my brakes went out. so now it sits and i slowly work on it. now what you've been waiting for. pictures!

Now for the awful cancer that has plagued my truck from North carolina winters.

Good luck in your new endeavor!
Can't wait to see many more progress pictures during your restoration.

BTW, is that a Boxer paw in your last pic?

Ya I know in in for the long haul and I think my biggest difficulty will be the rust. The rest I can deal with. But thank you and no she isn't a boxer she is a mutt. Mainly bernese mountain dog mix with who knows what else. I can't keep her out of the truck though. As soon as I open the door she jumps in wanting to go for a ride.

Here is the video from when we first got it running. My dad is filming and my sis talking.

Re: 1972 suburban project ole blue

Got my 350 pulled and this weekend I will be sanding down the engine bay and prepping for paint. Might as well paint the frame and everything else before my BB goes in. This week I'm also researching local machine shops to find a reputable place to have my block bored. I'm just gonna clean everything up . If anyone from Tampa has suggestions lmk. Pictures this weekend
