New to the game, 72 lwb fun =)
hey guys, i've posted a couple of time in here asking questions about wheel fitment and been checking out your rides..lots of badass content here! this seems like a great forum. about 2 weeks ago i traded my old 67 fury III for the 72 truck. I dont know why i didnt do this sooner! I love having a truck esp something i can tinker with. I am 31 and this is the first pickup i have ever owned; would you believe how many projects I've knocked out around the house i have been putting off?!? =) anyways, shes a little rough, but seems like a great runner. Just a lil 350 auto. Not trying to get crazy, but do want to make it mine if you know what I mean. I am not a purist and do tend to do what ever makes me happy when messing with this truck or whatever so I am use to criticism, oh well..lol I am new to both this motor as well as these trucks so i will probably be asking silly questions from time to time. I have a couple of pics from when i picked her up and some of what i have done in my spare time the past couple of weeks. I have a 3 / 5 drop on order which should be here in 2 weeks..went with frt and rear coils, shocks and drop brkts for rear. I can't wait! As of now, changed out headlights, frt markers, painted rallies blue, primered the bed, did a little "bumper taggin" =) and cleaned the inside up....elbow grease and seat cover. Oh yeah, dumped the work truck mirrors and threw on the peep mirror. anyways, hope you like and i will post up changes etc.... still think i will try the bmw wheels after the drop.
pretty much what it looked like when i got home: changing it up a bit: Last edited by sneaky; 05-06-2011 at 12:01 AM. |

havent posted in a while...done a few things the past month. lowered with ccp coil drop kit 3/5 with a coil cut out off the frt spring on the driver and a coil and a quarter off the passenger side frt. new shocks, brkts, track bar. changed door panels for the older cleaner metal ones...added a new cd player so i can rocks the ipod...painted the wheels again, got rid of the taggin out back...new headlights, cleaned up engine bay with some flat rattle, new valve covers and intake....ditched the mufflers, well one jumped off do to the new stance and i yanked the other off...a little tune up...new window cranks and scored some side lights off a van at the junk yard...i love this old thing! having fun, probably start some body work when it cools down a bit. =)
lowered with out the cut: cutting down FRTS: 1st drver 1 coil, then pass 1.25 coils |
