I had a fender shiped via GreyHound, it was the cheepest way to ship. The only draw back was that you have to pick it up at the bus station. Would I use it again ? Sure

Re: might buy a complete door..Greyhound Shipping?

I had a door shipped from Calif. to Pittsburgh & their carriers were brutal. The door arrived with dents that weren't in pics from seller. The customer service contacts in Pittsburgh terminal were just about non existant due to personel cutbacks I'm told. My phone # was not on their shipping lable but was clearly writen on outside of package. I was told that they were unable to contact me and after two weeks after I expected the shipment I personally went to terminal and walked around until I found someone to locate door tucked away in holding area. I would recomend the door be crated if possible.

If using them what ever you ship needs to be bullet proof. They have no way to track packages and it it get put on a wrong bus or left at a station they have no way to trace it. So it may be cheap but they may not get it there. There is a shipping quote site that was being discussed on here a while bake that looked to have some god prices. I just don't remember what part of the forum had it. I did find this site.

Re: might buy a complete door..Greyhound Shipping?

Ive tried it twice. Both times I received my item. First time was a door which the seller wrapped and came to me in good condition. Second time was a hood which the seller did not wrap and consequently came to me in not such good condition. Make sure the seller wraps whatever he is sending and keep your fingers crossed that all goes well. I would do it again.

Well, I live in New Jersey and it seems like all the body parts come from California. I think the charge was $90 or thereabouts.

Yes, its cheap but that is the only real benefit. Id rather the seller use someone else but you really cant beat the price.

Re: might buy a complete door..Greyhound Shipping?

I've had a roof for my 60 Apache shipped from CA to CT. It took about a month to get to me and when I saw the box l thought ut-oh, I'm not gonna be happy. The box was all torn up and looked like they had used it as a dance floor. Luckily there was only 2 small dents in the roof that were easily repaired and in fact could have been there when it was shipped.

I also had a grill shipped by Greyhound and some other body parts and they all came though just fine.

I think the roof cost about $100 to ship.

Why buy something when you can build it for twice the price..

Just because something can be done doesn't mean it should be done...

I've bopught 2 doors, fender and tailgate via shipping through Greyhound. All from Rj Sisneros. make sure the shipper puts heavy cardboard on the door bottom and fron corner. Ships great! You can save weight if you don;t need the guts or glass.

I picked up a dash for my Audi 80 using Greyhound. It was cheap and got to me on time, I would say why not.

Re: might buy a complete door..Greyhound Shipping?

I just sent a rear stepside fender from N. Texas to S. California on Greyhound for $65, and it got their in 4 days. And I didn't have to build a box, just wrapped it.
UPS can't match that.
