Re: Anyone have headers with quiet mufflers?
My favorite exhaust setup so far was 2.5 inch dynomax super turbos with mid-length dynomax chevelle headers. H-Pipe then over the rear axel and straight out the back.
It was quiet enough I could drive in residential neighborhood at night.

Re: Anyone have headers with quiet mufflers?
I have Flowmaster 70s series they are 30" overall length. Quiet at normal driving and get louder when in the 4bbls.. I would go with something cheeper or with the Stainless Steel Magnaflows next time as these only have 40k on them and both are rusted through. The Flowmasters were around 130.00 each. Same price as the Magnaflow 30" ones. I may do magnaflows or go with the turbos. I like quiet also.

I was always wondering how to get a Thread "Back On Topic", once it started to stray.

Re: Anyone have headers with quiet mufflers?
Well I was able to get a set of Cherry Bomb Turbo mufflers from a buddy and I think I may clamp them on this weekend and see what kind of a difference it makes. Probably quieter I think, but does Cherry Bomb really make anything quiet?? hahaha

Re: Anyone have headers with quiet mufflers?
This thread is disturbing, headers with quiet mufflers? What's next: Baseball, Hot Dogs, Apple Pie and Kia?
Neighbors should call the police, children should cry and you should find pleasure in that or else your man card should be revoked. Just kidding... it's all good! (Well unless a thread is started about headers and quiet "Fart Cans") Last edited by lakeroadster; 05-13-2011 at 08:12 AM. |
