Thank alot! I have looked at that site before, but it looks like you have to order something before they tell you if it's available or not. Does anybody have experience with it in CA?

MOST 72 trucks had blue plates...I have actually only seen one that originally came with black plates (board member Stocker) Ask C/10King about modding plates, he knows all about that

If the truck has it's original Cali plates, I would keep those over any personalized plates.

So I just ordered "GPAS 72", I tried for GPASTRK, but it was taken already. Also of note, the dmv website posted above does tell you if the plate is taken or not before filling out any credit card info, so that's nice. :-)

I have seen a place online that restamps plates, see if they can do a black plate. my 70 has original black plates... i peeled all the stickers off and the last one was a clean 70 sticker so im leaving it on, my 57 chevy has a 57 sticker also

that's pretty cool, i wish my grandpa would have had a cool truck. i couldn't see keeping the old 86 terd ranger he had though. i do like that plate though.
