I am partial to the truck. So I say go for the truck and start a car hauling/repo business.

Hey falconwagon62 from Ohio. I have no clue but I did sell a 356A so I could buy my wife an engagement ring 30 plus years ago. And I am being honest.
I am signed on to see the reponses.

In a heart beat!
I have a special place in my heart for 67-72 Ramp trucks, being that my family put over a million miles on the two we had for so long. |

Re: New Here, NEED YOUR ADVICE about getting a Slant Back Car Hauler!
If you have a regular need and use for the hauler then you might want to trade. In my opinion (which isn't worth much) I think you could get $9000 for your kit car but the owner of the slant back would be hard pressed to get that for the truck, so I am not convinced it would be an equal value trade. In this economy and with fuel costs, it would seem to me to be a lot easier to peddle a VW engined kit car than a limited use truck that will probably get 6 - 8 mpg.

The truck is the way to go. You can always make a little cash with that truck to.

Sell the car, buy the truck. Car is worth more IMHO.

I dunno. I love our trucks, no doubt, but a speedster kit car is pretty cool. Oh, and welcome.

Re: New Here, NEED YOUR ADVICE about getting a Slant Back Car Hauler!
thanks for the advice, I thought the truck was priced high at 11.5K but it's nice, the kit cars sell as a kit for 13K plus you buy all the stuff motor/tranny and have to put it together....everything in the truck is new, motor/clutch/brakes ect...
I am also building my wife a 1959 Apache Big Window Step Side, Volare clip, 9" rear, with ZZ4 crate motor and a TH700R trans....she wanted that, not a bigger dimond in her engagment ring...I AM a lucky, lucky man.... I do have a used car business that I want to move forward this year, that is why I was looking at the ramp truck, go to an auction with a tow dolly, bring back 2 cars by myself.....people say I do good work...just not enough of it.... X2. That's a really nice truck, but the car is porobably worth more.

Welcome to the forums.
I was thinking the same. cars worth more. truck is good if you can make money by using it though and hard to find a slant back like that. so choice is whats best for you really.

Here's mine. 67 C20. Very rare. Draws a crowd every where I go. I really love this truck. Sell the toy car and buy the truck. You will be the star of the show when you roll up in that thing with your wife's truck on the back!

I think you answered your own questions there. Do the trade, if you feel comfortable doing it. I myself would love to have that slant back.
