tailgate stainless trim piece on 72 cheyenne super rare?
I have found a stainless trim piece for the tailgate on a 72 cheyenne super. How rare are they? Were they an original piece? I was told they were a an aftermarket deal. I was thinking of having some made. would they be worth havin made?

They were on 72' only Supers, Sierra Grandes, and some have found them on Cheyenne's and Sierra's as well. 71 handles were actually chromed. There would be market for them if you got some made up. Trevor

If you are refering to the mirror polished stainless steel tailgate handle trim its already reproduced. Part # 2424893 found on the following page of our web site.

I was going to say that the handle trim has been reproduced for years,as Paul pointed out. Or,do you mean the tailgate cap/protector? I haven't seen those around lately and there would be some demand for those,although limited. But,they aren't as simple to make as it would seem.
