scottsdale 30

I picked up some scottsdale 30 fender emblems at the pick a part today off of a truck that had a cab fire. Is there a market for scottsdale 30 parts? What is a scottsdale in relation to a silverado? It looked like just a stripped down work truck, but it took me 6 months to find a used set of silverado 30 emblems for my truck so I picked them up not knowing if there was even a market for scottsdale stuff. I am not trying to sell these, just wondering if there is even a market for them. In other words, should I sell them or hang them in the garage and look at them?

Re: scottsdale 30

Ther is a market for everything

The Scottsdale was one up from the base truck ..lots of work trucks were Scottsdales and the 30 is the 1 ton so there are a few around

New old stock emblems appear on Ebay ...between 30.00 and 120.00 for a pair

So a used pair in good shape could make 20.00 to 50.00 ..just depends who is looking

Re: scottsdale 30

They are the newer style off of probably an 84 or so model. They have some red paint on them from were the previos owner repainted the truck and the tabs are broken off of one of them, but if someone needed them, they would be better than nothing. I just didn't know if anyone sought scottsdale emblems. I will try to get pics in the next day or so. I work about 14 hours a day so daylight and not to tired are pretty scarce in my house.

Re: scottsdale 30

Hello again,

Unfortunately, the newer style don't seem to be nearly as rare. I searched high and low for the older style Scottsdale 30 emblems for my K30 project. On the older (73-80) trucks, it seems most of the 30 series were of Custom Deluxe trim. As stated above, only thing more rare than the Scottsdale 30's are the Silverado 30's ...

Still, someone may need them. Thanks for sharing,

Joe

And if you had an 81 Cheyenne 30, THAT would be rare.
