Did your cable from the battery to the starter ground to the frame or the headers?

Re: Ok urgent**** truck stalled no powr
I had that happen once, it was Just a bad positive cable. Check both cables. Run jumper cables from the battery to the block and starter. Gettiat doesn't work check fuses and fusible links. If those are all good it may be your ignition. The headlights should work in the "off" position but the windows wouldn't.
ON second thought it's much more likely it's a fuse so I'd check that first. The time it happened to me was probably a fluke. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Ok urgent**** truck stalled no powr
Did you try running power to the purple wire on the starter and then jumping it with a screwdriver across the other poles?
Really damned hard to try and figure something like that out when it's not there in front of me. Your mechanic should have you up and running in no time. Not a hell of a lot of things to go wrong with these old trucks, that's why I like them. |
