"This is a very rare and hard-to-find truck that had a limited production run by Chevrolet. Most of these trucks were produced with a long wide bed. This is the short wide bed, sporty model. Chevrolet produced so few of these that they do not have a record on how many they produced."

Uh yeah, what he said....

Very nice truck but what makes it a "Super 10"? The spare tire cover?

Clean truck for sure but not worth the $10,500 and still not hit reserve.

Nice truck. I wonder where these guys get some of this info? Do they make it up as they go along or what? He's so full of sh!t, his eyes are brown.

Originals were small and dangerous, so it was necessary to replace them. That's funny as hell.

That's because it was the most common, so why keep a record...

Now if it were black like N2TRUX's maybe....... It also has a gas door on the bed so it may not be the original little cream puff he claims it is. I can appreciate it being clean but the color doesn't work for me.

I didn't notice this before. It's not original. We've discussed this many times. I think there is a thread still going on about when the gas doors started, 77 or 78. So this tells me the bed is not a 73.

It's a nice truck but he's trying to pawn it off as something it's not.

I ain't going to say a thing. OK, yes I am. Chris, please stop showing this stuff. That's what got it all started last time. Yeah, he is full of crap, but the truck is clean regardless.

While we are beating him up, I can add that the sticker on the breather isn't OEM, and the fan shroud label doesn't appear correct either....

While we're at it, that isn't the original left front fender either. 73's have a different washer bottle. It also doesn't have the original style A/C receiver... It is a nice truck though, but that color hasn't grown on me a bit since I first decided I didn't like it.

The only things not original are the side mirrors (originals were small and dangerous, so it was necessary to replace them)
Too funny!!

BS BS BS BS BS Yada Yada Yada

Well I called BS on him and here is the response I got back:

On Sat, 26 Jul 2003 04:23:44 -0700
To: dtsjsimmons@juno.com
........ Quote from ad: .......
(The only things not original are the side mirrors (originals were small and dangerous, so it was necessary to replace them), chrome drip trays above the doors, and chrome splash guards. Spinners (with Chevrolet emblem) have been added to the wheels which are not original. )

My e-mail to him:

FYI for your ad:
Might want to add the bed and tailgate band is not original. That bed came out after 77.

-----Reply from Seller of truck:-------

Thanks for your email. However, the owner has checked the bed and all the attaching bolts and finds no evidence this is not original. As stated in the ad, GM made so few of these, they don't even have records of how many. He was also assured when he purchased it that it is all original. -------------------

Hmmmm... he must be a legend in his own mind

OK...we've established the fact that the truck isn't all original; which drops the price at least half. (C'mon...at least do your homework!!! ) But the truck is definetely a veeery sweet looking clean truck. I would own it, at the right price. I kinda like the color too. It's just what Chevy woulda used in the seventies, so I'm used to it.:p
