what rear end?

what rear end came with 3:73 gears? i want to swap out my 10 bolt from my 87 chevy pick up lwb for one , what years and what truck came with them vin cod would help too thanks

Look for one out of a 3/4 ton. Same body style.

Yes it'll bolt right in but it'll use 8 lugs wheels so you'll have a mismatch between the front and back. Some of the 1/2 ton trailering special trucks came with a 3.73 rear end.

Yes there is but I'm not sure if a 15" wheel would fit around 3/4 ton brakes.

my 76 12 bolt has 3.73s from the factory, its 6 lug but I think you could run 2wd shafts or have the axle flanges redrilled for the 5 lug pattern.

HMMM. or maybe i can find a 10 bolt and put 3:73 in it
