Bought new truck with fuel cell behind rear axle and hole cut in bed to fill tank --- well, the "screw" on gas cap is NOT water tight,
and after running truck through car wash, engine stalled.

Do I need to siphon the gas out to the fuel cell ?
Run engine 'till tank is empty ?
Any ideas ?

you can buy....gas dryer to put in your tank,,,auto parts store.....but if you have a drain plug on the "BOTTOM" of the tank drain it till you get gas coming out,,,,,then add the gas dryer to get the condensation,,,,,,gas floats on water,so all the water is in the bottm of your tank,,,,,,how much gas is in the tank?

Fuel cell in only 10 gallons -- haven't checked to see if it's got a drain plug ... do they normally ? Are you talking about an additive I add to the fuel tank ?

I was at the corner of Hammer & Pershing for about 2 hours priming it into a Pepsi bottle, until it fired up and got me homw.

ya its called..Gas Dryer.....its not gonna evaporate like, 2 gallons of water,,,,,,but i doubt you have that much in there,,,,,i meant how much gas is in the tank right now,,,,,,,if you do drain the ENTIRE tank ,do you have some where to put it?

Yup, I think it's basically alcohol, so it sort of "absorbs" the water so it can be burned. Goes by other names too, I think Heet does pretty much the same thing.
