Steel Wheels Date Codes - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

On the C10's (1969) and perhaps others. Are the Original Steel Whels date coded? And if so where to look?

This is what I found on my 1970 GMC with a build date of October 1969.

K-1 9 10 14 YC

I read it as; November 1 1969....(14 YC-I don't know.)

Or......Maybe it's a reference to a specific workshift?!

I may be wrong just my best logical shot. The rims are 16.5 x 8 per the
build sheet. I found these numbers on the front-facing edge of the rim.
