Re: my 1965 c30
How would a steering rack like the rack in pinion steering and run the steering shaft down the inside of the frame. They do not cost much and are easy to put in. A friend of mine put one in his 39 Buick Special I thought he was nut but it worked out very well and solved a lot of problems he had. It might be worth a look into. Good luck.

Re: my 1965 c30
ive been away from the site but not away from the truck Ive been working on things that were not shocking or exciting but down right disgusting and anoying
this is under the floor of the truck it was covered by 46 yr old grime, grease dirt rust and hardened oil took what seemed like for ever to get here i thought i had done the hardest part already but i didnt realize i had the dirtiest and most unconfortable painstaiking part to do yet. Now that i see it in a picture even i am impressed |

Re: my 1965 c30
It's looking good. I would rather be doing that here in Maine it's all roughed out no metal to clean grease and dirt off of. Keep the pictures coming great to see the progress your making.

Re: my 1965 c30
If your still thinking about steering check out the setup Vic45 has come up with.
It came out good and looks good too. Just another way to do your steering. |
