1987 silverado 1/5 ton lwb ....... So I have 1 1/4 rotors.... the spindles bolted up fine and looked great, but when it was time to put on the caliper... O, **** they would not set in and the bolts would not line up..... what the ****... I sit there so long playing with those caliper my ass..... then I had to take it all a part and put my old ones back on..... I got them from HUNTERS in Nashville, TN..... So they will be going back unless they can come up with a good one why they did not work.... Anyone else ever have this prob.

Sometimes a little clearancing is required. Where was the interference?

I was not going to do any shaveing untile I talk to them about the problem just in case they were taken back.... Its the bolt hole that's off ..... I'm touching stuff on my truck that has never touch... it only has 78000+ I'm the 3rd owner.... been inside most of its life...

So the caliper slips into the ears of the spindle ok but the bolt holes don't align between the spindle & caliper once it's in place?

Nope it won't slip in....... only the top or bottom will go in.... not both... so I'm guessing that if it was grinded to slip into its pocket that the bolts will line up..... I'm just not doing any thing untile I talk to them...

It's common to 'massage' that area for the calipers to fit. I have had to w/Bell Techs & Western Chassis spindles for C10's.

I used summit racing's (ground force) 2.5" drop spindles, for 1.25" rotors...everything went on easy, the dust shields, calipers, bearings, etc.

its all good so how does it look..... rear should be done in a weekend or 2... 2.5 drop spindles.

Shaving the the pocket alittle where the caliper seats.....
