WTB I need the Carb-Throttle Bracket for a 69-70 Kickdown Switch

Ok...
I am getting close to getting the Kick Down Switch installed but there is one minor detail I need the Bracket that mounts to the carb which the switch mounts to... I hope I am saying this right. There were two styles for the 69-70 BB engines. I found a new repop bracket for $40 which is more than I want to spend...
If you have a bracket please post a pic so Fine69 can verify it's the carb bracket that I need. If you have one and fine69 says go...then I will be ready to roll

Thanks Again...we will evenually get the Circuit Rider back on the road

I might have the bracket you are looking for. If it is you can have it for free. It is the one the kickdown cable hooks to, right? Will try to post a pic later.

Yes...Thats the one (I think). Fine 69 can verify this. I'll trade you a 70's NOS T Shirt decal for the bracket. Its looks like the one on my Avatar.

I might be able to use that...my 69 has a small block, and the kickdown cable is just hanging down by the transmission.

T-400s do not have kick down cables. They have electric kick downs, that is why they need the switch and bracket like sharpie1972 has pictured.
Hey sharpie1972, is that removed from a small block or big block? Looks just like the one on my 68 327 with 4BBL carb. WES

Hi Wes, as far as I know SB & BB engines shared the same switch and bracket with the exception of the oddball 67 setup and straight/V6 setups.... but I could be blowing smoke! Sharpie

sharpie1972 ...I met with Fine69 tonite and its the bracket that mounts to the throttle linkage that when you put the pedal to the metal...the bracket hits the plunger part on the kickdown switch if I am saying it correctly. From my conversation with WES the Small Block and Big Block uses the same bracket. I didn't realize the bracket would be that hard to buy. I had the switch but am missing the bracket.

The one sharpie has should be the correct one, assuming a SB and BB use the same one.

I agree. I just need the little bracket and I will be all set. If I can't find one FS than Fine69 will have to make something up that will work. We are getting very close to getting the Circuit Rider back on the road.

Do you have the small bracket or the bracket that the switch is mounted to or both? I'm interested. Thanks

Ok Thanks 70STOVEBOLT...I think I need the small bracket which is the bracket that hits the plunger on the 400 kickdown switch. I Think.

I may have found a repop source for these...Again I think.
