I use a washer bottle but hide it in the right fender.

I want one of those street rod type of aluminum overflow cans. But, if you have something you can use, and cost is a factor (always), then the washer bottle makes sense.

That's exactly how mine is - it was there when I bought the truck in 1977. It's an aftermarket radiator overflow kit.

I just bought one of the street rod Aluminum tanks that ChevLoRay mentioned off EBay for $20.00. I haven't had a chance to install it yet, hopefully this weekend. I have to put the new radiator in first, and I don't have much free time at the moment.

I got to get back there to NH and visit..
I have friends and family from manchester on up to deerfield and concord..Hell My fam had a conveniant store called Chasse's Variety in candia...

Once mine gets to a certain point it wont puke any out. I installed one of the aftermarket ones on the support but took it off because it never had anything in it.

drink2mny,

No, I didn't make it to the races, I was supposed to get tickets, but the deal fell through.
As for the location of the washer bottle overflow, I think it would look great under the battery tray, but in the unlikely event that your battery pukes acid, it'll probably melt that real quick (unless you had an Optima battery). If I was going to use a washer bottle instead of the aftermarket one, I would probably put it there though, because it looks cleaner, and you could always buy a new bottle again.

PEP BOYS has an aftermarket Overflow Recovery Tank kit w/ tank/bracket/tubing/ and mounting hardware...about $10.

Not the prettiest thing in the world...but it is quick, clean, and gets the job done. I'll be replacing mine with an original unit at a late date.

I have the same one SLS has but I buried mine under the battery tray. I don't think I'll need to get to it that often and it can not be easily seen. It was a little of a pain to install but it was worth it.

Hey cool!

I have the same one as you two guys. I mounted it just above the horns. About the same place that you have, but lower and closer to the radiator.
