Sm465 Reverse lights plug in

Can any one tell me the general area of where the plug in for the reverse light is at on this tranny....mine is so dirty I cant find it ....Thanks.

I think this is what you're looking for. Don't mean to take you thread but I wish someone would tell us how to disconnect it. Only thing keeping me from pulling the motor & tranny now.

Mine was buried under many years of oil/grease/gunk before I scraped the top off.

I can't say for sure, as mine came without the female side of the plug, but...

It doesn't look like there was any mechanical connection between the two sides of the plug. The trans side is the male side of the plug. The spades are at 90 degrees to each other, so I'd guess that gentle wiggling in both directions would get it started. The trans side has a plastic outer housing that is probably brittle, so don't go crazy with the wiggling.

I would think its just a plug, that's what mine looks like but it was already disconnected.
