Has anyone gotten a radio delete to fit a cut dash? Jw Thanks!

(its obvious that it wont work with the clips lol)

Depends on the hole, if it will cover the hole yes you can make it work with some ingenuity.

If the dimensions of the cut do not exceed the dimensions of the delete plate, it will fit.

i have thought about doing the same thing.. My dash was cut for a radio by a previous owner.

If anybody has done this with a cut dash some tips would be cool to know what you did to make it work.

How bout using a piece of metal or plastic with a hole drilled in it big enough for the factory clips to snap into...install the piece you made with the holes drilled in it behind the dash? so dash would be sandwiched between delete plate and drilled pieces..

just a idea..never seen a delete plate in person

Im going to try something like this. I had a nice CD player but no speakers etc when I get a cab i'll def. put one in, but id like to do something with my hole

I have done, and worked out fine. The cut on my dash was just barely smaller than the plate.

I ground down a 69 - 72 lower body moulding studded mount (like pictured) and clipped in the back block off plate. I used a piece of sheetmetal with a hole in on the backside of the dash.

Thanks for the ideas Ima try'n round up a radio delete from a big truck..too bad its not the same color.

Whats a fair price? I dont want him thinking they're rare(valuable), just odd..lol

5 bucks, maybe? I've never bought one, they've just come in trucks I've bought.

The delete plate covers almost the entire indented area, so if your's isn't cut up any further than that, you should be good. Here's a pic of one I found that shows how much area it covers.
