Re: Eaton HO52 rear end
All I know is, it is VERY difficult to get parts for these rear ends. In the past I have seen folks post up that the only way they found parts were from junkyards or donor vehicles. Good luck, hopefully someone will have a better answer for you.

Re: Eaton HO52 rear end
The 3/4 ton trucks came with either the Eaton rear or a Dana 60 rear. The Eaton is a beefier unit, but it is a lot easier to find parts for a Dana 60. You could swap a Dana 60 in place of the Eaton. That is the only suggestion I can come up with. I am sure someone else will chime in with suggestions and info.

Re: Eaton HO52 rear end
I have not seen a thread, but I think it would be pretty simple and straightforward. Just make sure the donor rear end came from the same suspension setup that your truck has (coil spring vs. leaf spring) and it should just bolt right in.

Re: Eaton HO52 rear end
Like the man above said, a Dana 60 from the same type rear suspension will bolt in.
I'm not aware of anywhere that you can get new gears for an Eaton. Bearings are still available from Napa and elsewhere. The carrier bearings are expensive.

Re: Eaton HO52 rear end
Did they put Dana 60's in coil spring trucks? I've never seen one.

Re: Eaton HO52 rear end
1-ton Eaton and 3/4-ton Eaton gears will interchange.
